sadly i don't have a garden of my own, but i was lucky to get some fresh from the garden lettuce that a co-worker brought to share! delicious. it made me think of home, and salads that my mom makes in the summer with dill and creamy homemade dressing.

i bought some cherries the other day and what a treat they are...perfectly flavourful and reminiscent of lazy summer holidays spent in the okanagan.
i must say, sorry for my lack of posts lately. i think i have 'blogger's block', and seem to be struggling to find something to say here...i hope it will pass soon and inspiration will find it's way back to me!

home-grown is always the best. i was out in the backyard and picked a few of the first raspberries from the raspberry bush out there; they're always the sweetest and most delicous i've had!

I would love to hear about your "writer's block" sometime because that I am sure we can all relate to...you take the best food pictures I just want to eat the picture. {remember the lemon meringue pie that actually jumped out of the post and was served to me at work!}
